Introducing: Where You Watch

As we're entering a new phase of how movies are being seen, it's been defragmented into different platforms. The most famous are Netflix and iTunes. But we also got Amazon and HBO competing and becoming big players in the field. Even niche channels like WWE have started their own streaming channels.

Stream or download?

And then we have the option which few official companies want you to ignore. Downloading movies using torrents, private or public sites providing tons of movies for free. And often with high quality versions being shared before they hit a site like Netflix. It's tempting to get something for free and not wait for the retail release.

Take the movie Mother! as an example. Set to be released 15th of September. Would you skip the cinema round and wait for a retail copy to arrive? Or do you want to sneaky option of downloading it ahead of its official release? Where you watch has a page dedicated to Mother where you'll get an email when it's out, either pirated or through official channels

Star Wars at Where You Watch

And it's not like it's stopping there. This autumn is jammed packed with movies such as Thor's Ragnarok, Atomic Blonde, Disney's Cars 3, Baby Driver or the mega blockbuster that is set to get a massive audience, Star Wars The Last Jedi. And the list goes on. Thankfully Where You Watch is going to make use of their community based system of reporting download and stream dates.

Wether or not you choose to watch it in cinema or on your home system is up to you. But we're glad that this website is at least helping us out.
